The default search term operator is AND
You can use brackets, AND OR and NOT to improve your search. For example: C# AND NOT ( VB or SQL )
A query of a single * will return everything, filtered by any filters.
Search by Author: author:"author name"
Filter by tag: tag:C# or tag:(C++ or Java)
Wildcard search use: "?" or "*" eg. gr?d or gr*
In this video we will pick up from the fresh install of Git we did in Video #1 of this series, and work to configure some basic setting for Git.
You will want to leverage $ git config as a tool to setup your basic user data like name and email address. We will show where some of this data is stored in the Git “plumbing” and also issue some other commands that are useful for getting help for Git.
